Crone Call is disheartened coldwave from Portland, OR

A dramatic solo project, Crone Call’s cried-out poetry warns listeners to act out and find survival in a ruthless, mechanical world.

Analog synths are performed (no computers), with NDW, deathrock, and synth-punk influence. Drum programming is overlaid by gritty leads, uneasy strings, and expansive, warning-horns. Repetitive bass-lines drive the vibe, alternating between melodic punch and brooding growls.

DIY Super 8 films are shot and hand-developed in the cold comfort of her basement. With prisms, matte-paintings, and in-camera effects, the music videos draw inspiration from silent films, modernist paintings, and deep-seated fears about where life is carrying us.

The upcoming debut album is announced for this summer! On vinyl, the 10-song release tells a lore-filled story of escape and survival in two parts. Expect moonlit gutters, rocky wastes, oiled machine teeth, and houses burning. Expect discouragement.
